Carbon removals, carbon farming and carbon storage in products - certification methodologies for carbon farming

The delegated regulation sets out methodologies for the certification of carbon removals and soil emission reductions from carbon farming, specifically resulting from peatland restoration through rewetting, planting of trees, agroforestry and soil management of agricultural mineral soils including improved fertilizer use. The methodologies set out quality criteria for relevant carbon farming activities in accordance with Articles 4 to 7 and Annex I to Regulation (EU) 2024/3012.
