Update of the governance of the Energy Union and climate action

Current rules created a governance mechanism to help the EU and Member States meet their climate and energy objectives through strategic planning, reporting, and monitoring. This initiative aims to keep Europe on track to meet its climate goals, while mainstreaming, strengthening and modernizing those rules and putting forward an enabling framework for the decade ahead securing Europe’s competitiveness and sustainability.
