The Digital Fitness Check will mark the second step of the Commission’s simplification agenda for the digital rulebook, following the adjustments proposed in the Digital Omnibus. Building on a wide engagement strategy and evidence collection, the Fitness Check will analyse the interplay between different rules and their cumulative impact on businesses, as well as their effectiveness supporting the EU’s competitiveness, values and fundamental rights, to ensure that the overall system remains effective, proportionate and fit for the future.
